Full hotel transformation to deliver regenerated accommodation and best-in-class common facilities.

This project was successfully delivered during one of the most challenging times for the construction industry by being quick to adapt to COVID-19, implementing and managing COVID safe plans that met the ever-changing landscape of restrictions to workforce numbers all while maintaining program and productivity.

Consisting of two hotels under the Mantra and BreakFree brands, the project included upgrades to two buildings that incorporate commercial, conferencing and dining venues. Room upgrades introduced a ‘co-living’ concept designed for short- or longer-term stays, community and social interaction all with communal amenities. Works were carried out within two buildings – the BreakFree building incorporating 439 rooms and the Mantra building located on the ground floor. While BreakFree was closed to guests during works, the Mantra ground floor works were delivered within a live operating environment.
