This project significantly increased the centre’s capacity and upgraded it into a modern venue to be used by the Council and local community. Located on level two of the existing and fully operational council civic centre, public safety and minimising disruption during opening hours were a key concern.

Works included demolition and removal of all existing amenities to be replaced with new elements including carpet, joinery, wall panelling, light fixtures, signage and DDA compliant / gender equitable toilet facilities; hearing loop technology system; installation and integration into the lighting control system of over 250 downlights; painting throughout; and significant upgrade to AV, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and fire services.
