A key initiative in the Revitalising Central Geelong Action Plan, the redevelopment of Johnstone Park creates new and unique spaces with universal access for central Geelong’s growing residential and working population. The project involved complete above and below ground upgrades including the installation of new lighting, paths and park access improvements.
Works included trenching and excavation; new lighting including 42 poles capable of smart city dimming; switchboard upgrades; drainage upgrades and new pits; 3,000m path upgrades; 1,200m of decorative paving and removal of existing paving; and installation of 1,000m spoon drains.
