This project represents the most significant refurbishment of the historic Parliament House precinct since construction commenced in the late 1850s. Following the successful delivery of Stage 1 mechanical works, Harris HMC was engaged to deliver Stage 3 within a live parliamentary environment, enhancing connectivity, accessibility and functionality while preserving the site’s heritage significance.

Works included a fully integrated fit-out across two levels, two new internal stairwells, two six-storey lifts, a basement link corridor, rooftop extension and new basement level. The project also involved major structural works, heritage restoration and comprehensive fire, mechanical, electrical and AV upgrades, delivered across five staged separable portions.
