Victoria Police: World Trade Centre

Harris HMC was awarded the contract to fit out and refurbish the existing premises of Victoria Police within the World Trade Centre in Docklands. With works to be completed over seven different areas across four different buildings, works ranged from minor works to full demolition and complete office fit outs.

The client wanted the construction works to be delivered efficiently and discreetly due to the high security issues and sensitivities of the staff.

The scope of works included:

  • Upgrading to and installation of new electrical, fire, mechanical and hydraulic services and security and high end audio visual systems.
  • Installation of full plasterboard partitions and glazed walls. Solid core doors with acoustic seals and acoustic panels installed in highly sensitive interview rooms.
  • Installation of new floor finishes, high end joinery and workstations, furniture, toughened glass, whiteboards, pinboards, auto doors, compactus unit and feature baffled ceilings.
  • Installation of high end fixtures and fittings including Zip Hydrotaps and stone benchtops.
